Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU), where our mission is to provide professional and pre-professional training to undergraduate students in computational sciences and engineering in order to facilitate student entrance into the job market or graduate and professional schools. The department endeavors to provide its undergraduate students with reserach opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and opportunities to use their skills in service to the community.
We fulfill our mission both through teaching and research. In teaching we offer bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems. In research, we have a distinguished and active faculty who do research in areas such as Wireless Computer Netwroks, Data Mining, Robotics, System Controls, Embedded Systems, Computer Vision, and Engineering Education.
The department has seven full-time faculty members three of whom hold Ph.D. degrees in Engineering, two hold Ph.D. degree in Computer Science , one holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Information Science and one faculty has an ABD degree in Computer Science.
