2012 Alumni Day of Service

Dear Alumni:
Last March, approximately 50 alumni mentored more than 500 Bethune-Cookman University students by participating in the first-ever Alumni Day of Service on Campus. This year, we have begun planning in time to allow the many alumni who have already expressed excitement to prepare for participation in the 2012 Alumni Day of Service on Campus.
The plans for the 2012 Alumni Day of Service on Campus include:
- Thursday, March 29:
- 5-7:30 p.m. – Presidential Reception – Alumni will have an opportunity to meet members of the President's Cabinet and Academic Deans.
- Friday, March 30:
- 7:45-8:45 a.m. – Continental Breakfast before service hours begin.
- 9:10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. – Alumni will have the opportunity to interact students in a variety of venues including, Professional Seminar and Freshmen Seminar sessions, the Quad, and individual class sessions. This time is alumni's opportunity to give important advice, words of guidance, and share career experiences. It is also an opportunity to develop mentoring relationships with students.
- 2 p.m. – The Alumni Day of Service on Campus will end with a Closing Luncheon.
In order to participate in this exciting event, you may register online and make a credit card payment through the donation button (at the bottom of the page) on the university's homepage, www.bethune.cookman.edu.
Registration will take place from January 18 - March 15. The cost for alumni participation is $65.00. The registration fee includes Welcome Reception, Continental Breakfast and Closing Luncheon, as well as materials provided as a part of your registration. If you prefer to pay by check, please send the registration fee by March 15 to Ms. Valerie Powell, Office of Institutional Advancement, Bethune-Cookman University, 640 Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114, Please note 2012 Alumni Day of Service on the Memo line.
