About the Division of Student Affairs
WHO WE ARE
The Division of Student Affairs serves as the lead advocate for students at Bethune-Cookman University. We are responsible for all aspects of student life and the general well-being of students.
WHAT WE DO
Our mission is to undergird the academic process of the institution and to provide services that will enhance student development, personal growth, academic success, and transformative leadership. We challenge and encourage our students to become responsible citizens, leaders throughout this country, and change agents in the global community by fostering an effective learning environment.
HOW WE DO IT
Through various departments housed within the Division of Student Affairs, we provide co-curricular opportunities in every aspect of student life. We assist and support students in acquiring the necessary competencies for living in a learning environment. Student Affairs units include the following: Dean of Students, Campus Safety and Security, Career and Program Services, Counseling Services, Assessment & Disability Services, Student Health Services, Multi-cultural and International Student Services, Judicial Affairs, Religious Life, Orientation and Leadership, Residence Life, Student Activities, Student Government Association, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council.
