Welcome to the B-CU Newsroom

Bethune-Cookman University welcomes the opportunity to assist the media with stories that help advance the understanding of higher education, campus life, and coverage of university events.  The B-CU Office of Public Relations serves as a resource for the media to access news and information about the University and to find expert sources for stories on a wide range of topics.

We encourage members of the media and others interested in learning more about B-CU to download our media kit, check out Wildcat Connections – our e-newsletter, or read through our news release archive.

Media Policies

Because Bethune-Cookman University is a private institution, we require that members of the media secure approval from the B-CU Office of Public Relations before coming on campus to photograph, record, or interview faculty, staff, students, and guests.  This policy helps the University conduct its educational mission in an orderly and effective manner while protecting the rights, privacy and needs of its students, faculty, staff, and guests.

We also request that members of the media contact the Office of Public Relations with requests to interview members of the B-CU community or for official University comment on a pressing issue.  This will expedite response to such requests.
